The short version: your work stays yours, you can leave whenever you like and keep access until the end of the month you paid for, we fetch only pages you name, and health checks are a helpful convenience rather than a monitoring guarantee. The sections below are the binding text.
01

Who we are

Bowerdeck is operated by Bowerdeck Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. “We” and “us” mean that company; “you” means the person or business holding an account. Everything in this document is handled by email — write to help@bowerdeck.com and a person answers.
02

Your account

You need an account to use Bowerdeck, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it.
One account is for one person or business. Studio plans include five seats, each with their own sign-in. Sharing a single login across a team is not what the plans are priced for.
03

Acceptable use

Bowerdeck fetches public web pages at your instruction. You must only add URLs you are entitled to reference, and you must not use the fetcher to probe systems you do not have permission to access.
Specifically, do not:
Add URLs in order to load-test, scan, or otherwise stress a site you do not control.
Publish share pages containing work you did not do, or work covered by an NDA you have not cleared.
Attempt to reach another account’s projects, share links, or view records.
04

Your work stays yours

You keep every right you already had in the projects, descriptions, images and notes you put into Bowerdeck. We store and display them so the product can function — rendering your dashboard, generating your share pages — and for nothing else.
We do not use your content to train models, and we do not sell it. If you close your account, it goes.
05

Share pages

A share page is public to anyone holding its link, subject to any password and expiry you set. Treat the link like a password: we cannot control who a recipient forwards it to.
You can revoke a link at any time, which takes effect immediately. Expired and revoked links show a neutral page and reveal nothing about your other work.
06

Health checks

Health checks are a convenience, not a monitoring guarantee. We probe on a schedule and report what we see from our network. A site can be down between checks, or reachable from us and not from your client.
Do not rely on Bowerdeck as your only uptime alerting for anything business-critical.
07

Payment and cancellation

Paid plans bill monthly in advance. Prices exclude VAT, which is added where applicable. You can cancel whenever you like and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for — we do not pro-rate part months.
If a payment fails we will retry and email you. After fourteen days an unpaid account drops to the free plan; projects over the free limit become read-only rather than being deleted.
08

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend an account that breaks the acceptable use section, or that is being used to send links containing unlawful material — with notice, unless the situation is urgent.
Thirty days after closure we delete your data permanently, including share pages and view records.
09

Liability

We provide Bowerdeck with reasonable care but without warranties beyond those the law requires. To the extent permitted, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change we will email account holders at least thirty days beforehand. Continuing to use Bowerdeck after that means you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
